Data Reimagined by Intel Israel

As part of a strategical challenge, students were asked to utilize Intel’s technologies to use big-data in a way that would create massive positive impact on the world. In conjunction with this challenge, the Center invited Karin Eibshitz Segal, General Manager of Intel Israel Development Center; Prof. Rivka Carmi, President of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev; and Prof. Peretz Lavie, President of the Technion to participate in a panel discussion in May of "Trends, Changes & Organizations: The Synergy," led by Prof. Oded Lowengart, Dean of the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management. The Center also welcomed Michal Hovav, Strategic Programs Manger of Intel Israel, who gave a lecture called, "Adapt or Die! The Intel Story."

The 100 million Challenge by Mercedes-Benz 

Participants were asked to submit an idea revolving around the figure 100 million. This could be anything from number of customers to likes on Facebook. Around 30 teams from 12 academic institutions worldwide submitted their ideas. In mid-February 2018, six finalists concluded the first iteration of the challenge with a glamorous finale, in which two students from the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management at Ben-Gurion University won a luxurious trip to Stuttgart, Germany and a chance to present their idea to the company’s higher management.
