The Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management
As the youngest business school in Israel (est. 1995), the mission of the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business & Management (GGFBM) is to serve as a foundation and inspiration for the Israeli business leadership of the 21st century, as well as to develop advanced management reasoning and instill management skills and knowledge. GGFBM's diverse departments and programs offer a wide range of BA, MA, and Ph.D. degrees. The curriculums are structured and planned to provide the best possible management training and to equip our students to cope with the business challenges they will be facing throughout the frequently changing local and global business and management world and its varying sectors. The thousands of GGFBM graduates who have joined the different avenues of management in Israel and abroad are a source of great pride for us.
The Faculty of Engineering Sciences
The vision of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at Ben-Gurion University is both comprehensive and simple: to generate and advance knowledge in technology and to educate students to become leaders throughout modern technological society, and thereby to serve the people of the Negev, the State of Israel and the world community. The Faculty especially focuses on promoting and advancing research and development of new technologies and methodologies.
The Faculty’s vision is highly collaborative, with many of our researchers engaged with colleagues, both in Israel and abroad, in interdisciplinary projects.
The Bengis Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation
The Bengis Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management was established in 2001 as a response to the ever-growing need of understanding the main issues faced today in the fields of entrepreneurship, innovation, and hi-tech management. With great vision and foresight by the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, to promote a spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation, and support its practice. Our goal is also to serve as a means of creating an ecosystem of innovation with far-reaching impact in Beer-Sheva, the Negev region, and the State of Israel.
The Lecturers
I am an assistant professor of marketing and business strategy (with tenure) at the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
I have a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and before joining Ben-Gurion University I was a Marketing Science Institute (MSI) visiting scholar at the University of Southern California.
My research interests include marketing strategy, innovation management at the industry and firm levels, knowledge creation and knowledge spillover, and the interrelations of innovation, knowledge, and public policy.
I received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, in 1997, 2000, and 2004 respectively. Currently, I am an Associate Professor and director of the robotics laboratory at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel.
On 2005-2006 I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. My interests include locomotion of multi-limbed mechanisms in unstructured complex environments, motion planning algorithms for multi-limbed robots, robot grasping-design, control, and stability analysis, climbing robots, snake-like robots, multi-robot on-line motion planning, and agriculture robotics.
